பொங்கலோ பொங்கல் - சும்மா அதிருதுங்க!! :))

இந்தப் பொங்கல்ல இருந்து ஒலியில பல நல்ல புதிய மாற்றங்கள் வர இருக்கு.. அப்ப இது வரைக்கும் வந்ததெல்லாம் சரியில்லையான்னு கேட்டீங்கன்னா.. நான் அழுதுடுவேன்.. :)) ஏன் நல்ல மாற்றம்ன்னு நான் சொன்னதுக்கு உள்காரணம் இருக்கு,. அதை இன்னும் கொஞ்ச நேரத்துல நீங்களே தெரிஞ்சிக்குவீங்க..

கொஞ்ச நாளாக.. என் குரலை வானொலியில கேட்டிருப்பீங்க. ஆனா.. ஏன் நிகழ்ச்சி ஒன்னும் படைக்கலைன்னு கேட்டு மின்னஞ்சல் குவிஞ்சிருச்சு.. நல்ல சேதிதான்!! "எனக்கில்ல".. ஒலிக்கு!! :P

ஒலியின் புத்தம் புதிய இணையதளம் இந்த பொங்கல்ல இருந்து வெளியாக இருக்கு!! அதற்கான வேலையிலதான் ராத்திரி பகலா.. விமலா உழைச்சா.. (இது கொஞ்சம் ஓவர்தான்)
இது முதல் நல்ல மாற்றம்! ரொம்ப நாளுக்குப் பிறகு புது தளத்துல ஒலி நிகழ்ச்சிகளைப் பற்றியும் ஒலி படைப்பாளர்களைப் பற்றித் தெரிந்துக் கொள்ளவும் வாய்ப்பு ஏற்பட்டு இருக்கு.

ஆ.. இன்னுமொறு நல்ல செய்தி என்னன்னா?? விமலா.. நல்ல்ல்லா தூங்கப் போறா!!

ஆமாங்க.. ஒரு வருஷமா காலையில 6 மணியிலிருந்து 10 மணிவரைக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சியைப் படைச்சி.. தூக்கம் போச்சு.. ஏன்னா.. நான் ஒரு night bird!
அதுனால, தூக்கம் பத்தாம இருந்தேன்.. இப்ப காலையில 10 மணி வேலை!! ஹாய் ஜாலி!!

மூன்றாவது நல்ல விஷயம் - ஒலி படைப்பாளர்கள் இப்ப இருந்து வலைபதிவுகள்ள அவுங்க கிறுக்கல்களை எல்லாம் பதிவு செய்யப்போறாங்க.. நானும் கூடத்தான் புது தளத்துக்கு http://blogs.mediacorpradio.sg/vimala/ என்னோட http://www.davimcicode.blogspot.com/ பக்கத்தைக் கொண்டுப் போக வேண்டி இருக்கு.
அதுனால.. இது post இந்த இடத்துல என்னோட இறுதி பதிவாக அமையப் போகுது.. இது எனக்கு கொஞ்சம் சோகமான செய்தி. என்னா.. இவ்வளவு நாளு இந்தப் பக்கத்துல இருந்த - davimciன்னு தனிப்பட்ட ஒரு touch போயிடுமே!! இருந்தாலும்.. மாற்றங்களுக்கு ஏற்ற மாதிரி நானும் மாறனும் தானே!!

இன்னும் கொஞ்ச நேரத்துல நான் கெளம்பியாகனும். Dont be jealous ah!!நான் இப்ப Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Deepika Padukoneனை Zee Awards Press Meetல பார்க்கப் போறேன். இவுங்க எல்லாரும் வருவாங்களான்னு தெரியல.. பார்த்தா நீங்க ரொம்ப கேட்டதா சொன்னீங்கன்னு சொல்றேன்..

ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை இன்னுமொறு பிரபலத்தைப் பேட்டி எடுக்கப் போறேன். அந்த சிறுத்தையைப் பார்த்துட்டு வந்து கதையைச் சொல்றேன்...

இவ்வளவு ஹோட் ஹோட் ஹோட்டான் விஷயங்கள் எல்லாம் காத்திருக்கும் போது என் பொங்கல் சும்மா அதிருதுங்க!! :))

நேற்று Singtel தமன்னா கலைநிகழ்ச்சி கல்சாவுக்கு அருகிலிருக்கும் திறந்த வெளியில் நடந்தது. (அப்படி ஒரு புல் திடல் இருப்பதை முதல் முதலாக நேற்றுதான் கவனித்தேன்)... ஒலி நேயர்கள் பலர் தமன்னாவை நேர்ல பார்க்க ரொம்ப ஆர்வத்தோடு வந்திருந்தாங்க.. தமன்னா.. நேர்ல இன்னும் ரொம்ப அழகாக இருந்தாங்க. அதே மாதிரி பங்களாதேஷ் நடிகை பூர்ணிமா என்பவரும் வந்திருந்தாங்க...அவுங்களும் ரொம்ப அழகாக இருந்தாங்க.

நிகழ்ச்சி தொடங்குவத்ற்கு ஒரு மணி நேரத்துக்கு முன்னர்.. திடீர்ன்னு கூட்டத்தில் பெரிய சலசலப்பு.. என்னான்னு எட்டிப்பார்த்தா ஒரு ஸ்போர் லைட் அப்படியே நடந்து வந்தது போல தூரத்திலிருந்து தெரிஞ்சது.. பார்த்தா.. அட!! நம்ம தமன்னாதான்.. பளிச்சுன்னு அப்படியொரு நிறம்..

அதன் பிறகு அவுங்களைச் சந்தித்துப் பேசியன போது.. ரொம்ப கனிவாகவும் அன்பாகவும் பேசினாங்க.. கேள்வி பதில் அங்கத்துல என்ன வேணும்னாலும் கேளுங்க.. அப்பறம் பார்த்துக்கலாம்ன்னு உற்சாகமாகப் பேசினாங்க..

சிந்தி பெண்ணான தமன்னா நான் எதிர்பார்த்ததை விட ரொம்பவே நல்லா தமிழ் பேசினாங்க.. தமிழ் பேசத் தெரிஞ்சும் தெரியாத மாதிரி தமிழ் பேசுறவங்களே.. இனிமேலாவது திருந்துங்கப்பா..

தமன்னா ரொம்ப இனிமையாக, அன்பாக, professional லாக நடந்துக்கிட்டாங்க. அவுங்களோட நடை, உடை, பாவனையிலேயே இவுங்க சும்மா பொழுதுபோக்குக்காக நடிக்க வரலன்னு தெரிஞ்சது. கடின உழைப்பு, அதற்குத் தேவையான திறமைகளையும் கற்றுக்கிட்டுதான் வந்திருக்காங்கன்னு தெரியுது. அதனாலேயே இந்த சிலை தமிழ் தெலுங்கு திரையுலகை ஒரு கலக்கு கலக்கும்ன்னு நிச்சயமாகச் சொல்லலாம்.

தமன்னாவுக்கு எப்போ கல்யாணம்? கேள்வியோடு ரஃபி.. இப்போ இல்ல.. நான் இன்னும் சின்ன பொண்ணு என்ற பதிலோடு தமன்னா..

தமன்னா கிட்ட propose செய்யக் காத்திருந்த ரசிகர்களைச் சந்திக்கிறதுக்கு முன்னால... தமன்னாவுடைய கனவுக் கண்ணன், எப்படி இருக்கனும்ன்னு நான் கேட்டக் கேள்விக்கு... நல்ல மனசுதான் ரொம்ப முக்கியம் என்று பதில் சொன்னாங்க தமன்னா.. நல்லவங்களே.. முயற்சி செஞ்சுப் பாருங்கப்பா.. :)

April Fool தினத்திற்கு முதல் நாள் நிலையத்தின் தலைவி கீதா என்னை அழைச்சு.. April Fool அன்றைக்கு ஏதாவது செய்ங்கன்னு சொல்லிட்டாங்க.. போச்சுடா.. எனக்கு வர்ர்ர்ர்ர்ராத ஒன்று.. மற்றவரை ஏமாற்றுவது!! நம்ப கஷ்டம்தான்.. ஹாஹாஹா.. ஆனாலும் கொஞ்சம் முயற்சி செய்யுங்கப்பா.. :))

நானும் ஒக்காந்து யோசிச்சேன்.. நின்னு யோசிச்சேன்.. நடந்து யோசிச்சேன்.. மல்லாக்கா படுத்து யோசிச்சேன்.. ஹூமும்.. ஒன்னும் பிடிபடல்.. இரவு மணி 11 ஆச்சி.. ஒரே தலைவலி!! நாளைக்குக் காலையில ஒன்னும் செய்யலன்னா. தலைவிக்கு என்ன பதில் சொல்றதுன்னு வேற ஒரே குழப்பம்!!

திடீர்ன்னு தொலைக்காட்சியில விஜயின் சுறாப் பட விளம்பரத்தைப் பார்த்தேன். பளிச்சுன்னு தலைக்கு மேல பல்ப் வெளிச்சம். விஜய் - சுறா!! சுறா - விஜய்!! இத வெச்சி காமிடி கிமடி பண்ணா என்னன்னு தோன்னுச்சி?? பட்டுன்னு நம்ம ரஃபியை அழைச்சு விவரங்களைச் சொன்னேன்.. இன்னொறு அழைப்பு தலைவிக்கு.. எல்லாம் தயார்ன்னு நிம்மதியாகத் தூங்கப் போனேன். ZZZZzzzzz..

மறுநாள் காலையில் 6 மணிக்கு நிகழ்ச்சியைத் தொடங்கும் போது, உண்மையிலேயே கைகால் நடுங்க ஆரம்பிச்சிருச்சி! ஏன்னா.. எனக்கு யாரையும் ஏமாத்தி பழக்கமில்லை பாங்க.. (தாங்க முடியலைய்யா? :)))

எவ்வளவோ பண்ணிட்டோம்.. இதையும் பண்ணிருவோமேன்னு கடவுளை வேண்டிக்கிட்டு காரியத்தில் இறங்கினேன்.

நடிகர் விஜயின் சுறா படப்பாடல்களின் வெளியீடு அண்மையில சென்னையில் நடந்ததில்லையா?.. இன்று மாலை சிங்கையில் சுறா இசைவட்டை வெளியிட விஜய் வரார்ர் வரார்ர்ர்ர்ர்ன்னு சொல்லி.. விஜய் புதிர் அங்கங்களை நடத்தினேன். போட்டியில் வெற்றி பெறும் நேயர்கள் மட்டுமே அவரை நேரில் சந்திக்க வாய்ப்புள்ளது என சும்ம்ம்மா அப்படித்தான்ன்.. கதைகளை அவிழ்த்து விட்டுக்கிட்டே இருந்தேன். பிற்பகல் நேரத்தில் ரஃபி விஜயைப் பேட்டிக் காணவிருப்பதாக வேறு சொன்னேன். அதனால் ரஃபி, விஜயை அழைக்கச் சென்றிருப்பதாகவும், அங்கிருந்து தகவல்களை கொடுப்பதாகவும் ஜோடிச்சோம்..

அலுவலகத்தில் தொலைபேசி ஓயாமல் அலறியது. எல்லா இடங்களில் இருந்தும் விஜயை சந்திக்க ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யுங்கள் என வேண்டுகோள் வேறு.. நேயர்கள் நான் நீன்னு போட்டிப்போட்டுக்கிட்டு கேள்விகளுக்குப் பதில் சொன்னார்கள். இதில் 80 வயது பாட்டி ஒருவர், எப்ப்ப்ப்ப்படியாவது விஜயைப் பார்க்க தயவுசெய்து ஏற்பாடு செய்யுங்களேன்னு கேட்டுக்கிட்டாங்க. அச்ச்ச்ச்சோ.. பாட்டிக்கு உண்மை தெரிஞ்சி பாட்டிக்கு ஏதாவது ஆச்சுன்னா.. என்ன செய்றதுன்னு பயந்து உண்மையைப் பாட்டிக்கிட்ட மட்ட்ட்ட்டும் சொன்னோம். :)))

வெற்றி பெற்ற நேயர்கள் வரத் தொடங்கினாங்க. வெளியிலிருந்து மற்ற நேயர்களும் வானொலியை விட்டு நகராமல் நிலவரங்களைத் தெரிந்துக் கொள்ள ஆர்வமாக இருந்தார்கள். எனக்கோ தொடை நடுங்க ஆரம்பிச்சிருச்சி.. இன்னிக்கு அடி நிச்சயம்.. கொடுத்தா வாங்கிக்குவோம்ன்னு தயாரானோம்.

விஜயின் தீவிர ரசிகர்களுக்கு இளையத் தளபதியை பார்க்கப் போறோம்ன்னு முகத்தில் அவ்வளவு ஆர்வம்.. தாயார் ஒருவர் நகைகளை எல்ல்ல்ல்லாம் போட்டுக் கொண்டு ஜொலிக்குதே.. ஜொலி ஜொலிக்குதேன்னு வந்திருந்தாங்க. சிலர் வேலையில இருந்து விடுப்பு எடுத்துட்டு வந்திருந்தாங்க. ஒரு பக்கம் பயம் வேறு.. ஒரு பக்கம் சிரிப்பு தாங்கல.. lol

ஏற்கனவே ஒலி நாள்காட்டியில் விஜய் போல வேடமிட்டு ரஃபி தோன்றியிருந்தார். அதே போல அவரைத் முடிந்தவரை தயார் செய்தோம்.. நேரடியாக வந்திருந்த நேயர்களோடு வானொலியில் பேசிக்கொண்டே.. நம்ம ரஃபியைக் கொண்டுச் சென்றுக் காட்டி, April Fool எனச் சொன்னதுதான் தாமதம்!!! நேயர்களால் சிரிப்பு தாங்க முடியல. ஆனந்தக் கண்ணீர் வேறு. நொந்து நூலாகிட்டாங்க. ஹாஹாஹா.. பாவம் :)

அதன் பிறகு சிற்றுண்டி, பானம், பேட்டி, பரிசுப்பை என அவர்களை மகிழ்வித்தோடு, ஒலிபரப்புக்கூடத்திற்குக் கூட்டிக்கிட்டுப் போனோம். வானொலியில் அவுங்க அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்துக் கொண்டாங்க பாடல்களையும் விரும்பிக் கேட்டாங்க. சந்தோஷமாக மறக்க முடியாத நாளாக நம்ம நேயர்களுக்கு மட்டுமில்ல எங்களுக்கும் அமைஞ்சது இந்த வருடத்தின் April Fool Day. :)))

இந்த முயற்சிக்கு உடந்தையாக இருந்த ஒலி தலைவி கீதா, படைப்பாளர்கள் சிங்கப்பூர் விஜய்-ரஃபி, ஆனந்த், பாரதி எல்லாருக்கும் நன்றி. முக்கியமாக எங்களை அடிக்காமல் விட்டுட்டுப் போன அந்த நேயர்களுக்கும் நன்றி. நீங்க எல்லாம் ரொம்ம்ம்ம்ப நல்லவங்க :)

அண்மையில் நான் முனுமுனுக்கும் பாடல் கோவா படத்துல இடம்பெற்ற 'இதுவரை இல்லாத உணர்விது' பாடல். ரொம்ப ரசிச்சி ரசிச்சு கங்கை அமரன் பாடல் வரிகளை வரைந்திருக்காரு.

ஆண்ரியாவும் அஜீஷும் இந்தப் பாடலைப் பாடியிருக்காங்க. . ஆனா.. படக் காட்சியோட இந்தப் பாடல் காட்சியைப் பார்க்கும் போது, ஏ..னோ என் மனசில பாடல் ஒட்டவே இல்லை.. ஆனா.. பாடலை மட்டும் கேட்டுப் பாருங்க!! ஜில்லுன்னு இருக்கும். :)))

ஆண்ரியா லாவகமாக பாடலைப் பாடியிருக்காங்க.
அஜீஷ்!!! ரொம்ம்ம்ம்ம்ப இனிமையாகப் பாடியிருக்காரு. இவருக்கு நல்ல எதிர்காலம் இருக்கு!! நீங்களும் ஹாம்.. ஹாம்ம்.. ரசிங்க... :))

ஆசைப்பட்டது நடந்தேறும் போது அதை நம்புவதா? இல்லையா? என்பது ஒரு குழப்பமான நிலையாகிவிடுகிறது. இதுதான் நேற்று எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட ஓர் அனுபவம்.

சிங்கப்பூர் வானொலி விருதுகள் 2010 விருது வழங்கும் விழா நேற்று நடந்தேறியது. 2 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு மீண்டும் இந்த விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டன. அதில் சிறந்த வலைப்பூவுக்கான விருது, அழகாக உடை அணியும் படைப்பாளர் என புதிய வித்தியாசமான விருதுகளும் இந்த முறை அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டன.

இந்த முறை ஒன்றல்ல, இரண்டல்ல.. மூன்று விருதுகள் எனக்குக் கிடைத்தன.. ஒலியில் சிறந்த விளப்பரம்(Oli's Best Trailer),ஒலியில் ஊடகத் துறையின் தேர்வான படைப்பாளர்(Oli's Media's Choice) மற்றும் ஒலியில் பிரபலமான படைப்பாளருக்கான விருதுகள்(Oli's Popular Radio Personality) என 3 விருதுகள் எனக்குக் கிடைத்தன. ஒலிக்கான எல்லா மூன்று விருதுகளையும் வென்றதில் மகிழ்ச்சி.. எல்லா மொழி படைப்பாளர்களுடைய வலைப்பூக்களுக்கிடையிலான போட்டியில் எனது வலைப்பூ(Davimcicode) முதல் 5 இடத்தைப் பிடித்தது.

இப்படி.. வெற்றியான ஒரு நாளாக நேற்று எனக்கு அமைந்ததில் ரொம்ப சந்தோஷம். இது கடின உழைப்புக்கு கிடைத்த ஓர் அங்கீகாரம். இதைக் கொண்டாடக்கூட நேரம்மில்லை.. ஏன்னா.. இன்னும் இரண்டு நாள்ல ஒலியின் Junior Star 2010 நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு இன்னும் நிறைய செய்யவேண்டியிருக்குது.

இந்த நேரத்துல எனக்கு மனசார வாக்களித்த எல்ல்ல்ல்ல்ல்லா நண்பர்களுக்கும், நேயர்களுக்கும், என்னைத் திட்டி, கண்டித்து, குறைகளைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டி என்னை இன்னும் மேம்படுத்திக்கொள்ள சந்தர்ப்பத்தைக் கொடுத்த நேயர்களுக்கும், ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் நான் எடுக்கும் புதிய முயச்சிகளுக்கு பக்கபலமாக இருந்த நேயர்களுக்கும், என் நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொண்டு இன்னும் கலகலப்பாக்கிய நேயர்களுக்கும் ரொம்ம்ம்ம்ம்ம்ம்ப ரொம்ம்ம்ம்ம்ப நன்றி.

இந்த விருதுகள் வழி இன்னும் நிறைய சாதிக்க ஊக்கம் பிறந்திருக்கு. இன்னும் நிறைய நிக்ழ்ச்சிகளைப் படைத்து உங்களை மகிழ்விப்பேன். அதற்கு தொடர்ந்து உழைப்பேன். .

The "Law of the Garbage Truck"

I am not sure of the author of this, and you may have gotten something like it in your email inbox at one time or another, but just in case you have not..

How often do you let other people’s nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you’re the Terminator, for an instant you’re probably set back on your heels. However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly she can get back her focus on what’s important.

Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it in the back of a New York City taxi cab. Here’s what happened. I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver slammed on his breaks, skidded, and missed the other car’s back end by just inches! The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was friendly.

So, I said, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!"

And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck."

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it.

And if you let them, they’ll dump it on you.

When someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally. You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You’ll be happy you did.

So this was it: The "Law of the Garbage Truck."

I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me?

And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets? It was that day I said, "I’m not going to do it anymore."

I began to see garbage trucks. Like in the movie "The Sixth Sense," the little boy said, "I see Dead People." Well, now "I see Garbage Trucks." I see the load they’re carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And like my Taxi Driver, I don’t make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.

One of my favorite football players of all time, Walter Payton, did this every day on the football field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit. Payton was ready to make the next play his best. Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting.

Good parents know that they have to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses. Leaders and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let Garbage Trucks take over their day.

Rajnikanth was bragging to Amitabh Bachan one day, "You know, I know everyone. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them.

Tired of his boasting, Amitabh Bachan called his bluff, "OK, Rajini how about Tom Cruise?"

"Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it" Rajini said.

So Rajini and Amitabh Bachan fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door,

And sure enough, Tom Cruise shouts: --- "Thalaiva! Great to see you! You And your friends come right in and join me for lunch!"

...Although impressed, Amitabh Bachan is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Rajini that he thinks Rajini knowing Cruise was Just lucky.

"No, no, just name anyone else" Rajini says

.."President Obama", Amitabh Bachan quickly retorts

.."Yes", Rajini says, "I know him.

And off they go. At the White House, Obama spots Rajini on the tour and motions him, saying, :----"Rajini, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a cup of coffee first and catch up".

Well, Amitabh Bachan is much shaken by now, but still not totally convinced. After they leave the White House grounds, he implores him to name anyone else.

"The Pope," Amitabh Bachan replies

.."Sure!" says Rajini, "My folks are from Italy and I've known the Pope a long time".

Rajini and Amitabh Bachan are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Rajini says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope."

And he disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican .. Sure enough, half an hour later Rajini emerges with the Pope on the balcony.

But by the time Rajini returns, he finds that Amitabh Bachan has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.

Rajini asks him, "What happened?"

2. வெங்காயம், மிளகாய் தக்காளி- இவைகளை நறுக்கிக் கொள்ளவும்.
3. தேங்காய்ப்பூ, மிளகு, சீரகம், பூண்டு இவற்றைச் சேர்த்து அரைக்கவும்.
4. சட்டியில் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றி கடுகு, கருவேப்பிலை, பச்சை மிளகாய், வெங்காயம் இவற்றை தாளித்து தக்காளி சேர்த்து வதக்கவும்.

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.

His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation..

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.

Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, 'Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.'

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

1. கத்தரிக்காய்களை சிறு துண்டுகளாக வெட்டிக் கொள்ளவும்.
2. பச்சை மிளகாய்யையும், வெங்காயத்தையும் பொடியாக நறுக்கிக் கொள்ளவும்.
3. வாணலியில் எண்ணெய் விட்டு, சீரகம், வெங்காயம், பச்சை மிளகாய் போட்டு வதக்கி அதனுடன் கத்தரிக்காய் துண்டுகளை போட்டு வதக்கவும்.
4. அதனுடன் புளி தண்ணீரை ஊற்றி உப்பு சேர்க்கவும். கத்தரிக்காய் வெந்து வரும்போது கரண்டியால் மசிக்கவும்.

செய்முறை :
1. கொத்தமல்லி, வெங்காயம், பூண்டு இவற்றை சுத்தம் செய்யவும்.
2. வாணலியில் எண்ணை ஊற்றி வெங்காயம் போடு வதக்கி, அதோடு, தனியா, சீரகம், இஞ்சி, பூண்டு, காய்ந்த மிளகாய் போட்டு வதக்கவும்.

சில ஆண்கள்.. வீட்டில் ஒரு வேலையும் தொட்டு செய்ய மாட்டார்கள். வேலை முடிந்து வீடு வந்தவுடன் தொலைக்காட்சி பார்ப்பது, நாளிதழ் படிப்பது, ஓய்வெடுப்பது என இருந்து விடுவார்கள். ஆனால், பாவம் இல்லத்தரசிகள், வேலை முடிந்து வீடு திரும்பும் பெண்கள்!! தொடர்ந்து வீட்டுல வேலையை செய்ய வேண்டி இருக்கும். அந்த மாதிரி சூழ்நிலையில் கணவனை எப்படி வேலை வாங்கலாம்?

ரொம்ப கஷ்டப்பட்டு, சலிப்போடு கணவர் பார்க்கும்படியாக வேலையை செய்யுங்கள். அதைப் பார்க்கும் கணவர், கண்டிப்பாக "ஏதாவது உதவி வேண்டுமா?" என்றுக் கேட்பார்.

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :

இறால் - 1/2 kg
மாங்காய் - 1
தேங்காய்ப்பூ - 1/2 மூடி
பெரிய வெங்காயம் - 1
பச்சை மிளகாய் - 3

இஞ்சி பூண்டு விழுது - 2 தே. கரண்டி
பட்டை - 1

செய்முறை :
1. மாங்காயை வேக வைத்துக் கொள்ளவும். தேங்காய்ப்பூவை அரைத்துக் கொள்ளவும்.
2. வெங்காயம், பச்சை மிளகாய், தக்காளி ஆகியவற்றை நறுக்கிக் கொள்ளவும். இறால்களை சுத்தம் செய்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.

கொஞ்ச நாளாக எனது வலைப்பதிவில் virus தாக்கி இருந்ததால் புது பதிவுகளை சேர்க்க முடியாமல் இருந்தேன். இப்பொழுது.. virus-சை நீக்கி விட்டேன்.. புது பதிவுகளை குறிப்பாக சமையல் குறிப்புகளை விரைவில் எதிர்பாருங்கலாம்.

உல்லாசக் கப்பல் பயணம் - அனுபவம் பேசுது

ஜூன் 7 தேதியிலிருந்து 11-ஆம் தேதி வரை, Jet Choice நிறுவனத்தார் ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த உல்லாசக் கப்பல் பயணத்தில் ஒலி நேயர்களோடு ரஃபி, திருச்செல்லி, பாலா.. இவர்களோடு நானும் சென்றிருந்தேன். 150 பயணிகள் அந்தப் பயணத்தில் எங்களோடு வந்திருந்தாங்க..

அதிகமான இந்தியர்கள் இந்தப் பயணத்திற்கு வந்திருந்தாங்க. பலர் இந்தியாவிலிருந்து வந்திருந்த வட இந்தியர்கள். ஏதோ.. இந்திய கப்பல் பயணத்தில் இருப்பது போல இருந்தது. :) Chinese, mediterranean, western மற்றும் இந்திய சைவ உணவுக்கு பஞ்சமே இல்லை. 6 வேளை சாப்பாடு பிரமாதம்!! ம்ம்ம்ம்...மசாலா டீ கூட கிடைச்சதுங்க.

சிங்கப்பூரிலிருந்து கிளம்பிய கப்பல் மறுநாள் மலேசியாவில், பினாங்குக்குச் சென்றது. பினாங்கில் எங்கப் போறதுன்னு தெரியாதவங்க, Star Cruise Virgo வழங்கும் பயணத் திட்டங்களில் ஏதேனும் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கலாம். இல்லையென்றால், கப்பலிலேயே இருக்கலாம். எனக்கு பினாங்கு ரொம்ப தெரிஞ்ச இடமென்பதால்.. திரு-வோடு ஊர் சுற்றினேன். Market Street போயி நல்லா இந்திய உணவு ஒரு வெட்டு வெட்டி.. இந்திய கடைகளில் shopping செய்தோம்.

8 மணி நேரம் செலவிட்டபின் கப்பல் புக்கெட் நோக்கிச் சென்றது. அங்கும் 8 மணி நேரம் கப்பம் நின்றது. புக்கெட்டில் என்ன பண்றதுன்னு தெரியாதவர்கள், Star Cruise Virgo வழங்கும் பயணத் திட்டங்களில் ஏதேனும் எடுக்கலாம்.
புக்கெட்டும் எனக்கு அத்துப்படி என்பதால்.. ஊர் சுற்றக் கிளம்பினோம். நல்ல shopping..

இரவு நேரத்தில் கப்பலின் helipad டில் ஒலி நேயர்களோடு.. ஒரே கலாட்டா!!
பல வயதினரும் இந்தப் பயணத்தில் வந்திருந்ததால்.. எல்லாருக்கும் ஏற்ற வகையில் நிகழ்ச்சிகளைப் படைக்க முயற்சி செய்தோம். நம் நேயர்களும் கொஞ்சம் கூட சளைக்காமல் கலந்துக்.. கலக்கினார்கள்.

அதுமட்டுமில்லால் கப்பலில் மற்ற பல நடவடிக்கைகளும் இருந்துச்சுங்க. விளையாட்டு, சூதாட்ட கூடம், நீச்சல் குளம், உடற்பயிற்சிக் கூடம், திரையரங்கம், Gala Dinner என நேரம் போனதே தெரியவில்லை. புது மண தம்பதியர்கள் - இளம் ஜோடிகள், குடும்பத்தினர் கண்டிப்பாக இது போன்ற கப்பல் பயணத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். ரொம்ப நல்லா இருக்கும்.

இந்த நிகழ்ச்சியில் எங்களோடு கலந்துக் கொண்ட அனைத்து நேயர்களுக்கும் நன்றி. பயணத்தை சிறப்பாக ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்த Jet Choice நிறுவனத்தின் Zubi மற்றும் சரளாவுக்கும் நன்றி. பயணத்தில் எடுக்கப்பட்ட சில படங்கள்.. இதோ.. :)

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :

நண்டு - 8
தேங்காய்ப்பூ - 1/4 கப்
வெங்காயம் - 1 பெரியது
பச்சை மிளகாய் - 2
இஞ்சி & பூண்டு விழுது- 2 தே.கரண்டி
காய்ந்த மிளகாய் - 2
தக்காளி - 2
கருவேப்பிலை - கொஞ்சம்
கடுகு - 1/2 தே. கரண்டி
மஞ்சத்தூள் - 1/2 தே.கரண்டி
மிளகாய்த்தூள் - 1/2 தே.கரண்டி
எண்ணெய் & உப்பு - தே. அளவு

செய்முறை :

1.நண்டை சுத்தம் செய்து இரண்டாக உடைத்துக் கொள்ளவும். வெங்காயம், தக்காளியை பொடி பொடியாக வெட்டிக் கொள்ளவும்.
2. பச்சை மிளகாயை தேங்காய் துருவலோடு விழுதாக அரைத்துக் கொள்ளவும்.
3. சட்டியில் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றி, கடுகு, காய்ந்த மிளகாய், இஞ்சி, பூண்டு விழுதினை சேர்த்து வதக்கவும்.
4. பின் மிளகாய்த்தூள், மஞ்சத்தூள், தக்காளிய் உப்பு சேர்த்து அடி பிடிக்காமல் இருக்க கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் விடவும்.
5. அதோடு தேங்காய் விழுதினை சேர்க்கவும்.
6. பின் நண்டு, கருவேப்பிலை போட்டு தண்ணீர் விட்டு 20 நிமிடம் வேக வைக்கவும்.

Hougang நேயர் மாலதி கொடுத்து உதவிய சமையல் குறிப்பு இது. நான் செய்து பார்த்து அசந்துப் போனேன்!! அவ்வளவு ருசி!! மாலதிக்கு நன்றி. :))

செய்முறை :

1. சின்ன வெங்காயம், காய்ந்த மிளகாய், கருவேப்பிலை இவற்றை முதலில் வதக்கிக் கொள்ளவும்.
2. நெத்திலிகளை மொறு மொறுவென பொரித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.
3. Blender லில் வதக்கிய வெங்காயம், காய்ந்த மிளகாய், கருவேப்பிலை போன்றவற்றை கொற கொறவென அரைத்துக் கொள்ளவும்.
4. பின்னர் தனியே பொரித்த நெத்திலி கருவாட்டையும் கொற கொறவென அரைத்துக் கொள்ளவும்.
5. சட்டியில் கொஞ்சம் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றி அரைத்த கலவையைப் போட்டு, கிளரவும். அதனுடன் கொஞ்சம் புளி தண்ணீரையும், உப்பையும் சேர்க்கவும்.
6. இறக்கி வைக்குமும் எலுமிச்சை, calamansi சாற்றைச் சேர்க்கவும். சுவை கூடுதலாக இருக்கும்.

Back to square one Since the couple hasn’t really revealed much about themselves to the media, this seems a good opportunity to ask them about their courtship days. How did Jyothika win over the quiet Suriya? The actor laughs, ‘‘True, she would mostly talk and I would say ummmm or yes from time to time.’’ But they admit that they fell in love slowly, being friends first. ‘‘He was my first co star in Poovellam Kettupaar. I found I could rely upon him as a friend. He was very straightforward, genuine and a man of few words,’’ recalls Jyothika. Suriya reveals that her sincerity, hardworking nature and attachment to her family in Mumbai were what first attracted him to her. ‘‘I liked that she always respected her colleagues. Till today I have never seen her shouting, even at the people who work for her.’’ Jo relives the signs of love, when she would repeatedly watch the trailors of Nanda on TV. ‘‘I realised that I wanted to keep seeing him and it was more than friendship,’’ she smiles. Suriya adds his bit, ‘‘We actually fell in love when we were not doing films together! I used to keep messaging her and wanted to keep in touch.’’ Getting married meant a lot to both of them. ‘‘Starting a family soon and staying in a joint family was a priority,’’ says Jyothika.

Remembering Venice

Suriya is a romantic and springs wonderful surprises and parties, according to his wife. ‘‘On our honeymoon in Venice , I saw a beautiful opal ring in a store and I admired it since it is also my birthstone. Before I knew it, Suriya had ordered the most gorgeous replica of it in Chennai and presented it to me. It was very touching.’

Be it their on screen chemistry, secret romance or fairytale wedding, Suriya and Jyothika have been in the news for a long time. Yet they have chosen to be discreet about their personal life, leaving fans hungry for more. On September 11 this year, Tamil cinema’s favourite couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary, this time in the company of their one-year-old daughter, Diya. When we meet for our interview, I notice how the chemistry between the two is still sizzling hot. Marriage and motherhood seems to have lent Jyothika a brighter glow, perhaps explaining why Suriya can’t seem to take his eyes off her right through our meeting! In an exclusive chat with Indulge, the couple gets talking on family, love, life, marriage and more. Picture perfect ‘‘I still feel like the happiest man in the world and the most lucky person even two years after our wedding,’’ begins Suriya Sivakumar, with a happy grin. ‘‘My marriage to Jo has been all that I expected and much more. Jo has been a wonderful wife and makes an even greater mom to Diya.’’ That’s a lot, coming from the normally reticent Suriya that we know. ‘‘It’s not been an easy two years for someone like her who has always been working, to sit at home. But she has managed it really well,’’ he continues.

Jyothika is all smiles and her happiness in the Sivakumar household, which comprises of Suriya’s parents and siblings, is evident. ‘‘I have heard people complaining about life post marriage. But for me, life couldn’t be better. I think that ours is the picture perfect marriage.’’ So what’s keeping the spark alive? ‘‘Apart from being with Suriya, it’s the family that I am married into that has made all the difference. I don’t think we would have been so happy if we had been away from them,’’ says Jyothika. Suriya agrees, ‘‘Jo has had to be without me for long periods when I am away outdoors. But she has fit in with the family and enjoys spending time with them when I am not around.’’ All this is a huge departure from Jyothika’s initial years in the city . ‘‘I lived alone in Chennai for ten years during my film career since my family was in Mumbai. So I really enjoy this bonding,’’ she says. ‘‘Suriya’s brother Karthi is a great friend and his sister Brinda is a treasure. Brinda and I both have small babies who don’t sleep till late, so we chat right up to midnight when she is visiting! It’s a happy feeling to come down to breakfast with the family and catch up at mealtimes. With so many artistes in the family (father-inlaw Sivakumar and brother-in-law Karthi), we have healthy filmi discussions.’’ Marriage, good therapy ‘‘I have become a better person and I like myself more after marriage,’’ shares Jyothika. ‘‘I have become more mature and responsible. Earlier I thought only about cinema but now I think in all directions and can see beyond that world. I can see things from the point of view of my child, my in-laws and my husband.’’ And the learning never stops. ‘‘From my mother-in-law, I have learnt how to keep a family together. She is extremely caring in the smallest of things. She makes sure that none of us leave the house without having breakfast. My in-laws have kept the household grounded to their roots.’’ Quelling rumours that the couple live separately, Jo affirms, ‘‘I stayed in our apartment for six months since I was medically advised not to climb stairs during my pregnancy . But now we are back with the family .’’ After the movies, what? Both Suriya and Jyothika are known for keeping a low profile but I wonder aloud if she ever misses being under the spotlight? ‘‘I love this phase of my life and I don’t miss the old days at all,’’ she replies emphatically. ‘‘Life is to be enjoyed in every stage. I never wanted to be just career-oriented and stuck in one phase of life.’’ Confirming that there are no plans of returning to the silver screen, she adds, ‘‘Not for the next two or three years and even after that, maybe not. I may have more kids and till they are in the eighth standard, I will need to be with them. And by then, I will be too old to act (laughs).’’ Her husband adds, ‘‘Offers keep coming in but until she finds something really mind-blowing, she won’t take the plunge.’’ A working relationship Given the admiring glances they throw each other from time to time, I can’t resist asking them about the secret to their successful marriage. ‘‘It largely depends on your man. It’s the assurance he gives you that he is with you in the smallest of things, that makes all the difference,’’ says Jyothika. ‘‘He is the ideal husband who has been with me even through my pregnancy , taking care of me for six months without shooting. Even in the delivery room, he was there holding my hand and talking to me continuously . I couldn’t ask for more.’’ Suriya has this to say , ‘‘Marriage is built on complete trust and love and surrendering yourself with no secrets. It’s about being the same person outside and inside the house. When you know each other completely you have the confidence to discuss everything without fears.’’ And on a lighter note, he adds, ‘‘I have just one policy . My ‘boss’ is always right.’’ Bringing up baby ‘‘She’s totally like Jo. A late sleeper and late riser,’’ quips Suriya. Jyothika shoots videos and photos of Diya to share with Suriya later. ‘‘I keep updating him on each facet of her growth, from her first step to everything else.’’

The doting dad was so excited with his princess that he even bought her a real Swift car and wanted to paint it pink, with her birthday as the registration number. ‘‘But I convinced him that he was getting too excited and it was better to keep things simple,’’ laughs Jo. Getting out in Chennai ‘‘We have a Movenpick addiction and we love Café Coffee Day. We usually sit in the car and order,’’ says Suriya. ‘‘I don’t go out that much in Chennai. But back in Mumbai I usually go jogging at Joggers Park or just enjoy chilling out somewhere,’’ says his pretty wife.

சிறு வயதில் ஏற்பட்ட காய்ச்சலால் காது சரியாக கேட்காத பையன் ஒரு நாள் பள்ளி முடிந்து வீடு திரும்பினான். அவன் கையில் பள்ளியிலிருந்து கொடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு குறிப்பு தாள் இருந்தது. 'உங்க பையன் ஒரு முட்டாள். அவனால், படிக்க முடியாது!' என எழுதியிருந்தது.

'என் பையன் Tom படிக்கத் தெரியாத முடியாத முட்டாள் இல்லை! அவனுக்கு நானே பாடம் கற்றுக் கொடுக்கிறேன்' என அந்தப் பையனின் தாயார் சபதம் எடுத்தார். அதையும் செயல்படுத்தினார்.

Tom இறந்த பல ஆண்டுகள் கழித்து அமெரிக்க மக்கள் அவருக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்தும் வகையில் நாடு முழுவதும் மின் விளக்குகளை ஒரு நிமிடத்திற்கு அணைத்தார்கள். மின் விளக்கு மட்டுமல்ல, ஆயிரமாயிரம் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை தன் ஆராய்ச்சியின் வழி அவர் உருவாக்கியுள்ளார்.

அவர்தான் தோமஸ் அல்வா எடிசன்!! "என் மீது என் அன்னை அளவிட முடியாத நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருந்தார். அதனால், அவருக்கு ஏமாற்றத்தைத் தரக் கூடாது என உறுதியுடன் செயல்பட்டதாலேயே இவ்வளவையும் என்னால் சாதிக்க முடிந்தது" என்கிறார்.

பையனுக்கு 9 வயது. பெண் பிள்ளைக்கு 7 வயது. பள்ளி செல்லும் பையன் ஒரு நாள் வீடு திரும்பும் போது, உடன் பயணம் செய்யும் அந்தப் பெண் பிள்ளைக்கு முத்தம் கொடுத்துட்டாரு!!! அந்தப் பிள்ளை அவுங்க அம்மா கிட்ட இதைச் சொல்ல... பள்ளி ஆசிரியை பையனுடைய அம்மாவை அழைச்சு, நடந்ததை சொல்லி இருக்காங்க.

ஆனா, என்ன ஆச்சுன்னா.. பையனோட அம்மா.. 'இல்ல!! என் பையன் அப்படி செய்றவன் இல்ல. எனக்கு என் பையனைப் பத்தி நல்லா தெரியும்'ன்னு ஆசிரியைகிட்ட சத்தம் போட்டிருக்காங்க.

இந்த சம்பவத்தைக் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, எனக்குள் கேள்வி. ஏன் அந்தப் பையன் உண்மையாகவே தன் தங்கைக்கு முத்தம் தருவது போல முத்தம் கொடுத்திருக்கலாம். அல்லது.. படங்களில் பார்ப்பது போல.. அதாங்க.. puppy loveன்னு முத்தமிட்டிருக்கலாம். தெரிந்தோ தெரியாமலோ.. தான் என்ன செய்கிறோம்ன்னுத் தெரியாம அந்தப் பையன் அப்படி செய்திருக்க வாய்ப்புகள் நிறைய இருக்கு.

அதுனால, இந்தக் காலத்துப் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு எப்படி தன்னை மற்றவர்களிடம் இருந்து பாதுகாத்துக் கொள்ளத் தெரிந்திருக்க வேண்டுமோ.. அது போல, மற்ற பிள்ளைகளிடமும் எப்படி நடந்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பதையும் பெற்றோர் பிள்ளைகளுக்குச் சொல்லிக் கொடுக்க வேண்டியது முக்கியம்.

வழக்கமாகவே, பெற்றோர் குறிப்பாக நம் அம்மா எல்லாம்... பிள்ளைகள் தப்பே செய்திருந்தாலும், அதை மற்றவங்க சுட்டிக் காட்டும் போது, பிள்ளைகளை விட்டுக் கொடுத்து பேச மாட்டாங்க. நல்ல விஷயம்தான்.

தேவையான பொருட்கள் :

மிளகாய் வற்றல் – 6
